I loved Dostoevsky in college (“Notes from Underground”), but haven’t read “Brothers K.” Your review makes me think it might make a good summer project!
It's great! I think you'll like it a lot actually--very deep spiritually.
We watched the film version of Mr. Popper’s Penguins recently, and while it of course makes some changes from the book, we all really enjoyed it!
I saw that one but was hesitant because sometimes Jim Carey is just too much for me - was he good or obnoxious?
Sorry for just now seeing this! He actually didn’t annoy me at all in that movie, and I feel the same way you do about some of his work.
